Replacement of conductors on lines in the Middle Egypt Electricity Zone with thermal conductors.

As part of the state’s plan to support and develop the national electricity grid, and under the guidance and continuous follow-up of His Excellency the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) witnessed today the signing of a new contract aimed at enhancing the efficiency and reliability of the unified national grid.

Eng. Mona Rizk, Chairperson of the EETC, signed a contract with a consortium comprising Midal Cables, Industries, and Mirage for Electricity and Energy Projects for the manufacturing, testing, supply, securing, loading, aging, and transportation of thermal conductors and their associated equipment, necessary for replacing the 66 kV line conductors in the Middle Egypt Electricity Zone.

This project aims to accommodate new loads from the Middle Egypt Electricity Distribution Company, totaling 37 MVA, in addition to existing loads of 21 MVA, bringing the total load to 58 MVA. This will help achieve an increase in transmission capacity, improve performance efficiency, and meet the growing demands of the unified national grid.

The project is expected to be completed within 7 months from the contract date, with full financing provided by the company’s own resources for the electricity transmission works.
